We have SO many new babies to welcome!!

Katie and Maddie Theriot were born on Feb 15th. Congratulations to Tanya, Chad, and big brothers Evan and John-Paul!

Nicholas was born on February 22. Congratulations to Lisa and big brothers Aiden and Jake!

Jenna was born on February 25. Congratulations to Molly and big sister Jordin!

Parker was born on February 28. Congratulations to Jennifer and big brother Aiden!

Miles Dylan was born on February 29 (leap-day baby!!) Congratulations to Jodi, Ari, and big sister Lola!

Every Day is Halloween

Literally. Allie and Ryan dress-up in costumes EVERY DAY. It is definitely their favorite activity. They wear costumes to play...to eat...even to the grocery store!

They also walk around the house creating little games and stories. On this day, I think Buzz was rescuing Belle from a dragon. Today, Ryan was a pirate and he was taking Allie shopping on his pirate ship (she had her plastic leopard heels and pink sequined bag, he had his $1 store hook and eye patch...quite a site). It is great that they are at an age where they can play together (well, for at least a few minutes until someone starts hitting or screaming or crying!!) I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

We met friends at the play train in Marietta Sq. last week. Ryan was being very cute (and dramatic) in this tree.

The Greatest Show on Earth (added pictures)

On a whim, we took the kids to the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey circus this afternoon. Despite spending about 70% of my undergraduate career in BARNUM HALL at Tufts...and dutifully sending my alumni contribution (every little bit helps)...I was disappointed that we did not receive any discount on our circus tickets!

Allie and Ryan were in 'awe' for most of the show. Allie loved the tight-rope walker and Ryan enjoyed the tigers. We managed to avoid spending $$$ on circus toys...but we did buy a $9 lemonade. I thought it would at least be spiked with vodka...but again, I was disappointed.

We saw The Big Apple Circus last year. I would definitely choose that next time over Ringling. It may be 'the greatest show on earth' but the Big Apple Show is smaller, shorter and less overwhelming.

I took Allie and Ryan to Boston for a few days. Neil is there for 2 weeks for work so it was a great way to break up that time away from him! We stayed with Nana and Papa for what could be our last stay at 38 Lanewood. Yes, the final preparations are being made to put the house up for sale. Anyone interested in living in Framingham? My Dad will give you a discount (but he won't sell it to you for $1, right Liz?)

Neil stayed with us over the weekend and it snowed almost every day! Allie and Ryan were able to go sledding in the backyard. They LOVED IT!!! They were screaming and laughing the whole time! We even convinced Papa to try it! We saw so many friend and family...Uncle Devin, Cousin Kerrie and her Fiance Charlie, Emily and Ellie Blumberg, The Wisemans', The Penns, and The Bermans! I love meeting all of the babies (or toddlers...they were babies on my last visit).

I flew with the kids both ways...no other adults...and it was actually OK. The DVD player and snacks kept them entertained. When we landed yesterday, Allie was screaming 'It's ATLANTA! We are back in Atlanta!!'.

Boston - Feb 2008

Neglecting the blog

Ok, ok...so I've been neglecting the blog. I am trying to adjust to a post-Super Bowl world where the Patriots are 18-1 instead of 19-0. It's surreal. I think I found a 12-step program to help me through it.

I am heading to Boston with Allie and Ryan this week (Neil is already there for work). This is my first flight with both kids and no other adult supervision. Think good thoughts for us! DVDs (thanks Auntie Shira), snacks, sedatives, duct tape...we should be ok. Allie and Ryan are excited to see Nana and Papa and all of their friends too.
