White Christmas

Yes, it is SNOWING in Georgia on Christmas Day! Apparently, this is the first time since 1882. Crazy! The kids went outside for about 10 minutes. It's a wet-snow and I think they would much rather play with all of their new toys!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and morning. Everyone got new PJs (even American Girl) and we set out milk, cookies, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer.  Sean must have been REALLY excited since he was up over an hour earlier than usual. Of course, he fell back to sleep and then Allie & Ryan had to wait for him to get up. Such good siblings!

The living room was chaos for about 20 minutes. Allie and Ryan tore open presents while Sean sat and watched and drooled and ate wrapping paper. Fun for everyone!

We are enjoying a quiet day at home...watching the snow fall outside. Merry Christmas!

Santa 2010

First year with all 3 kids. Sean looks unimpressed!

Chrismukah 2010- Part 1

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Chanukah started on December 1st. Although I do not have any pictures, we had a nice 8 nights.  Allie & Ryan were able to help light the candles this year and Sean liked looking at the menorah.

For the first time, we have an 'Elf on the Shelf'.  For those not familiar with the story, the elf arrives in early December and reports back to Santa each night on the child(ren)s behavior.  He is always 'hiding' somewhere different each day. Allie & Ryan named him 'Elfie George' and they are having fun finding where he is hiding each morning.  The kids cannot touch the elf or he loses his magic!

We just finished up a round of holiday parties, performances, seeing Santa, baking cookies...so much and it's not even Christmas! We are looking forward to seeing what the big guy brings for everyone on Christmas morning!

And we had our first snow of the season--just a dusting but the kids loved it. We also had a 2hr delay for school one day due to ice. Could be a LONG winter in ATL!

Allie came with me to pick up a few groceries yesterday....and we happened upon Santa, his sleigh and even REINDEER!

We are now off from school for 2 full weeks. Hopefully the kids will have lots of playdates to keep them busy!

Fun Run 2010

I forgot to post about the 2010 Mt. Bethel Elementary School Fun Run! It was a VERY chilly morning for the run but the kids had a great time. I ran my first offiical 5K (in 28:04, not too shabby), the 1 mile run with a whining Allie, and the 1/2 mile run with Ryan! I was tired, to say the least!

Thanksgiving and Disney

With the new Cobb County school calendar, we have the entire week of Thanksgiving off. This year, we decided to head down to Orlando for the week.

Our first day was spent at Universal Islands of Adventure.  The kids have never been there and we wanted to check out the new Harry Potter area of the park. Now, we are not HP fanatics. We have seen the 1st two movies but have not read any of the books. There were LOTS of hard-core HP fans at the park...the line just to get into the HP area of the park was 90 minutes long (we managed to cut right to the front).

We also visited Hollywood Studios.  Ryan and Allie were able to participate in the Jedi Training and Sean enjoyed his first ride on Toy Story Mania.

Nana and Papa drove up from Orlando and we had a nice Thanksgiving at the hotel.  Our hotel had a very cool pool with a water slide and a pirate ship!  Allie and Ryan particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub!

On Friday, we went to the Magic Kingdom. We were pleasantly surprised that the crowds were lighter than when we have visited in December the last 2 years.

Sean was a trooper all week...being dragged all over Orlando. He napped and nursed just about anywhere and everywhere!  He melted down each evening around 6:30 and did not sleep through the night at all (even though he has been sleeping through the night for months at home). But as you can see, he was in good spirits during the day :).  It was another wonderful visit to Orlando/Disney!

Six Months

Hard to believe but Sean is already 6 months old! He is rolling in both directions, sitting up (we keep the boppy close-by), and babbling/squawking constantly!  His 6 month stats were:

19lb 13oz - 85th %
26.25 in - 50%

Sean is short and stout :). He continues to be a very happy baby and we love him to bits!
