Finishing up 2011 at the beach

After Christmas, we drove to Hilton Head for a few days. We had not been there since August and had a few things to work on at the villa. The weather was great and the kids had fun at the beach. For NYE, we celebrated at NOON Year's Eve at The Sandbox and then at 7pm in Harbortown!

We are looking forward to lots of fun in 2012! Happy New Year!

Chrismukah 2011

We had a pretty quiet December...until CHRISMUKAH! This year, Chanukah and Christmas overlapped for two-times the fun. Our elf, ELFIE GEORGE, returned right after Thanksgiving and he hid ALL over the house! The kids were very happy with their presents. Lots of Legos and American Girl stuff. And Sean is obsessed with his new car.

Allie and Ryan had Thanksgiving lunches at school. Ryan's class also performed a short play (which I did not photograph or video because Sean woke up from his stroller-nap and screamed so much I had to take him outside!!)

Rough life, huh?!



We hosted Thanksgiving dinner this year and the kids had a great time with their cousins, Uncle Devin and Aunt Jenn, and Nana and Papa!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK!

I surprised Allie with a trip to NEW YORK CITY right before Thanksgiving!!  She knew that we were going away but didn't know WHERE! I didn't tell her until we got to the airport and she was so excited!  We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria and saw SO MUCH. Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Center, FAO Schwarz, Times Square, the show Mary Poppins, Dylan's Candy Bar, the 9/11 Memorial, lunch with cousins, and the American Girl store. It was a wonderful weekend!

FUN RUN

Ryan ran his 2nd Mt. Bethel FUN RUN. The kindergarten race is a 1/2 mile.  I ran the 5K (although there was an issue and I ran the course wrong...I placed 1st in my age group but I'm not counting it as a real award).

Ryan's best buddy Hunter WON the 1/2 mile again this year! YAY HUNTER!!

It's GREAT to be EIGHT!

Yes, Allie turned EIGHT years old on November 13th! Hard to believe! We made Crazy 8 cookies for her class treat.  On her big day, she had 16 friends over for a 'psuedo' sleepover. The girls all wore pajamas and watched Barbie Princess Charm School while enjoying pizza and popcorn.  We finished off the party with yummy cupcakes.  Allie had a great day!!

SUPER BOWL!

Allie had her last football game on Saturday Nov 12th and her team made it all the way to the SUPER BOWL!! Walton Red lost to McHeachern 29-6 but they still received HUGE runner-up trophies.   Allie loved cheering this year and she can't wait for next season!
