Not only did Ryan's Shetland Twins baseball team go undefeated during the regular season, they WON the Championship! We played the final game vs. the Yankees (who we had played the week before and barely won by 1 run in 7 innings). It was a great game and the boys really fought for the win. We won 25-24 in 6 innings. Ryan was the final run across the plate! We are so proud of Ryan and the entire team! And he is excited to add a BIG trophy to the shelf in his room!

The last first birthday
I cannot believe that Sean is 1! The year FLEW by! We celebrated his birthday with a 'Dunkin Donuts' themed party. The cake was made by my good friend Lori and it was AMAZING. Everyone thought it was an actual box of donuts! We had a fun brunch and spent time with family and friends!
Sean starting taking steps at the end of April. He still army crawls as his main form of transportation but he is walking more and more. He'll take 8-10 steps at a time and walk across the room! He is wearing size 24mo shirts, 18mo bottoms, and size 6 diapers! He can wave bye-bye and he says 'mama' and 'dada'. He babbles A TON but it's all gibberish for now. He LOVES to be outside! Sean is still taking 2 naps and he sleeps at least 12hrs at night (HEAVEN!!) He continues to be a chill, mild-tempered, happy baby. He will go to just about anyone and rarely fusses. He is eating anything and everything but his absolute favorite foods are pasta and bananas! We finished breastfeeding right at his birthday and he like his whole milk :).
1 year stats:
27lbs (95%)
30in (70%)
Still in disbelief that he is 1 and this is the last 1st birthday we will celebrate...but looking forward to what year 2 has in store!!

Ryan's LAST day of Preschool!
May 19th was Ryan's last day of preschool. He has grown up and learned so much in his 'extra' year with the Young 5s class. We are so proud of him!

The first cut is the deepest
It was your average Tuesday afternoon. Ryan was playing basketball out front with Christine. I hear him coming towards the garage and he is crying. Now, Ryan has a tendency to over-react to injuries so I was prepared for him to have a teeny-tiny scratch or something. I was ill-prepared. His hand was on the side of his head and there was blood EVERYWHERE! Once I assessed that the cut was about as deep as the Grand Canyon, we drove straight to urgent care. The doctor was amazing! He looked at the cut before we finished signing in. They were able to use the topical lidocaine to numb it so no needles. Ryan was not scared of stitches but he did not want any needles (I didn't have the heart to break it to him that they use a needle to put in the stitches...he was too happy to not get a shot!!). Ryan ended up with 2 inside and 6 outside stitches. He was VERY brave. I was so proud of him. He has a nice scar now but hopefully it will fade. If not, it will just make him look cool!
All smiles as the lidocaine kicks in
So brave!
Scar-brow!

Ready for Kindergarten!
In early May, Ryan attended Kindergarten Meet & Greet @ Mt. Bethel Elementary School. The current Kindergarten classes performed some songs, we toured the school, and had a snack. Ryan was able to sit on the bus and at the end, the bus drove them around the school parking lot! We are so excited for Ryan to start Kindergarten in August!
