Weekend Wrap-Up

Where is fall? It is still well into the 80s and even low 90s here! We are ready for cooler temperatures but also enjoying the extended summer-like weather!

On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at the Marietta Square. There is an installation of 'lil chickens' all over the square. Donors paid up to $10,000 to place 'theme painted' replicas of The Big Chicken all over Marietta. At the end of the display, the chickens will be auctioned! I liked the Marietta Daily Journal chicken...of course, reading the newspaper!

We stayed and played on the train and then had some yummy Sarah Jean's ice cream! (Oh and can you guess who picked out her own clothes for the day???)

On Sunday, we met Casey, Nya, and Celia at Zoo Atlanta. We have not seen them in a little while and I think all of Grant Park heard Allie and Ryan screaming NYA NYA when we finally saw them!
We saw lots of animals, pretended to be naked mole rats (get your head out of the gutter!), rode the train and carousel, and played on not one, but two playgrounds! Ryan was asleep in the car as I was pulling out of the zoo parking lot! Proof of a fun day!!!
