Bloggin' from the beach

It's the last night of our week in Hilton Head. Our villa is rented for the entire summer so this was our last week to spend at the beach until mid-August. We did A LOT of work this week but we managed to have some fun too. Cousin Kerrie flew in from NH for a few days. Kerrie recently finished her Bachelor's in Nursing!!! We spent a lot of time on the beach and at the pool. Allie learned to 'surf' (and wipe-out!) on her boogy-board.

Ryan be-friended EVERYBODY on the beach. More than one person nicknamed him 'The Mayor'. He is definitely a social butterfly. Ryan would stop people in the parking lot on the way to the beach and say 'Are you going to play with me on the beach?' or he would walk up to a group of kids and say 'Do you want to dig a hole with me?' He made a new best friend every day...and it was usually the kid who dug the biggest hole in the sand! It doesn't take much to win Ryan's friendship...ha ha.

Neil, Kerrie, and the kids went on a dolphin tour and saw LOTS of dolphins. Neil also took the kids to Lawton Stables for pony rides. We finished off the week with ice cream and balloons (from Cappy the Clown) at The Salty Dog. Allie and Ryan's night was complete when they found FIVE tennis balls on our walk back to the villa. We walk past the tennis club and it is their GOAL to pick up EVERY stray ball. I'm thinking of auditioning them as ball boy/girl for Wimbledon!

We are looking forward to coming back in August. We have a summer full of FUN planned back in ATL to fill the time until we are back at the beach!
