For the 50th day of school, the Kindergarten classes @ Mt. Bethel Elementary celebrate '50s Day'. All of the kids dress up in poodle skirts, saddle shoes, jeans and white t-shirts...even some slicked back hair! I helped with the class party which included dancing to 50s music, limbo and the ever-popular freeze-dance. Allie's class was adorable! Matthew D. was quite the ladies man. He was slow dancing with all the girls!
Ready for 50s Day!

Allie borrowed Maggie's poodle skirt and belt. She was too cute! Allie has been sharing lots of facts about the 1950s with me this week. Mommy, did you KNOW that in the 1950s there were ONLY 3 channels on TV...and there were NO remote controls?? Unbelievable to an almost 6yo with satellite TV and a remote control that rivals most NASA programs! The class also played with legos, lincoln logs, hula hoops, and view finders. All toys that were introduced in the 1950s.
