Shoe Store Sillies

We went to the mall to look for new shoes for Daddy. Allie and Ryan were AMAZED by the little socks that Daddy put on...and our nice salesperson gave them each a pair. Of course, silliness ensued. They wore them through the mall and all the way home.

They will fit right in when we visit Nana and Papa in Boca!

And at a previous store, Ryan tried on a 'nude' colored sock and pulled it all the way up his leg. He asked 'Can I wear these?'. Daddy said 'Yes. But don't make a habit of it!'

The ULTIMATE Playdate

Yes, it's back...THE ULTIMATE PLAYDATE at East Cobb Park. This is HANDS-DOWN our favorite East Cobb activity for spring/summer. Every Wednesday, Jay Memory (http://www.jaymemory.com/) sets up on stage and sings a variety of songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. He does a rockin' acoustic version of 'You spin me round (like a record)'. HE ROCKS! The kids dance on the stage and have a great time. This year, many area companies are acting as sponsors so they have face painting, etc. Everyone brings blankets and picnics. Tonight I saw a few parents with red plastic cups of BEER...just like SPRING FLING (yah, Jumbos!)!

Brothers don't shake hands...

Brothers gotta HUG!!

I took Allie and Ryan to CLIX last week for a new picture of them together. We gave it to Daddy to take with him on his travels.

They really love each other. Forget the 'she's looking at me' or the 'he took my toy' that we hear 4000 times a day. Deep down, it's all about the love.

Random Ryan

Let's take a journey into the mind of a 2.5yo!

Batman should always have his rainboots!

Tool time.

He is 'helping' Daddy with the broken potty.

Allie and Ryan were playing in the garage today. I have a bin of outgrown clothing out there. Ryan kept coming in and asking me to help him put on random pieces of clothing. Then after a few minutes, Allie came in and told me to come out to see 'Baby Ryan'. And this is what I saw. He bounced in that seat for a good 20 minutes...he was totally chill!

SPRING BREAK 2008

We drove to Hilton Head for SPRING BREAK. No 'girls gone wild stories'. sorry! The weather was 'eh'...lots of cloudy, cool days...but we had some good beach days too! We saw a HUGE alligator and Allie found a conch shell...with the conch still living in it!!! I rented a bike with a trailer and pulled the kids all over the island. It was Ryan's favorite place to nap all week! Allie said that I was the best bike-rider...EVER. Allie and Ryan swam in the pool at South Beach but the water was COLD! We saw Cappy the Clown twice at The Salty Dog...balloon animals and face painting. Good times.

Before we drove home on Saturday, we stopped at Flamingo's House of Doughnuts. They make CUSTOM donuts. Yes. Start with a plain ol' donut. Pick your glaze. Pick your toppings. No combination is too crazy! The kids LOVE it! Ryan enjoyed a chocolat glaze with mini-marshmallows while Allie opted for the more traditional honey glaze with rainbow sprinkles. YUMMY! If you ever find yourself in Hilton Head, craving PURE SUGAR, go to Flamingo's!
