We drove to Hilton Head for SPRING BREAK. No 'girls gone wild stories'. sorry! The weather was 'eh'...lots of cloudy, cool days...but we had some good beach days too! We saw a HUGE alligator and Allie found a conch shell...with the conch still living in it!!! I rented a bike with a trailer and pulled the kids all over the island. It was Ryan's favorite place to nap all week! Allie said that I was the best bike-rider...EVER. Allie and Ryan swam in the pool at South Beach but the water was COLD! We saw Cappy the Clown twice at The Salty Dog...balloon animals and face painting. Good times.
Before we drove home on Saturday, we stopped at Flamingo's House of Doughnuts. They make CUSTOM donuts. Yes. Start with a plain ol' donut. Pick your glaze. Pick your toppings. No combination is too crazy! The kids LOVE it! Ryan enjoyed a chocolat glaze with mini-marshmallows while Allie opted for the more traditional honey glaze with rainbow sprinkles. YUMMY! If you ever find yourself in Hilton Head, craving PURE SUGAR, go to Flamingo's!
