Impatient Patient

At breakfast, I gave Allie some medicine to help soothe her cough.

About 30 seconds after taking it, she coughed and said 'Mommy, the medicine didn't work.'

Can we fix it?

Yes we can! We spent a morning at Imagine It! exploring the Bob the Builder exhibit.

Thanksgiving Feasts 2008

Allie and Ryan's classes at Mt. Zion had a feast this week to celebrate Thanksgiving. The children made Pilgrim and Indian hats, shirts, necklaces, placemats, and centerpieces. They kept it 'old school' by being completely un-PC...it was just like the performances I did as a kid!

They were all pointing and saying 'That's my Mommy!'
Duncan's mom said 'Stand like statues' to get them to be still for the picture!

Ryan is ready to eat!
Allie is an Indian, not a Native-American Allie and her best buddy Maggie
Allie enjoyed lunch with Daddy

I'm trying to upload some video of their performances too!

Allie's 5 year stats

Allie had her 5yo check-up on Monday. She received 4 shots...yes, 4. Mommy was DUMB and deferred them last year to this year. NEVER AGAIN. It took me and a nurse to hold her down while another nurse gave her the shots. Not fun. Anyway, she is doing well and these were her stats:

Height: 43.5in (75th percentile)
Weight: 46lbs (90th percentile)

Blades of Glory

Ryan has been hesitant to actually 'skate' at his lessons. He is all good with standing still on the ice, but when asked to actually move, he refuses. Until last Saturday. Apparently, Ryan was not comfortable with 'singles' skating, but he's all about skating with a buddy!

Just call me 'PUFFY'

Thankful

Each year, Allie and Ryan answer the question 'What are you thankful for?' at school. The Thanksgiving 2008 answers:

Allie: Candy (I think they asked the day after Halloween.)
Ryan: Flowers (I am shocked this answer was not a superhero of some sort.)
