Hooray...it's football season! The first for Sean. The kids wore their Patriots gear and cheered for the team last Sunday! It was a great win and we look forward to many more WINNING Sundays!

New Ryan-isms
Ryan is always saying funny/cute things. Here are some recent ones:
After Nana called Sean 'handsome', Ryan said 'I call Sean 'pantsome' because his pants are awesome!'
Ryan's definition of how 'red hots' candy is made: You take red m&m's and put them on the grill until they are so hot that they burn your mouth!
Mom, I am really into baseball...and star wars!

Fall Ball
In the South, baseball is played both fall and spring so we started a new season today. Ryan is on the Durham Bulls (all minor league teams for fall) and he moved up to Shetland (coach-pitch). He had so much fun at the game. He had a good hit his first at-bat but was tagged out at first base. His 2nd time at-bat, he had to hit off the tee since he missed the 5 pitches from the coach. He made it to first base and advanced around all the bases from his team-mates hits. The Bulls won 12-10!
Lucky #7
Last minute pointers from Dad
Sean was tired from all of his cheering for the Bulls!

Ryan's 1st day of school
Ryan started school this week at Mt. Zion. Although Ryan turned 5 in July and is eligible to start Kindergarten, we decided to give him a little more time. He'll be in the 'Young 5s' class at Mt. Zion this year and then start K next year. Ryan thinks this is pretty cool...especially since his class is 12 boys and 1 girl!!
12 weeks
Can't believe Sean is 12 weeks old already! He is a very happy baby. He smiles and laughs...will lay on the floor and let his big sister and brother entertain him forever! Now that the big kids are back in school, it's nice to have some QT with Sean and really enjoy his baby-stages! I am guessing that he is about 16lbs. We don't go back for an 'official' weigh-in until he is 4 months old.
And Sean's newest trick: Sucking his thumb!

Wedding Weekend
The weekend we had been waiting for was everything we though it would be...and more! We flew to Providence, RI on Friday and then drove to Newport for Devin and Jenn's wedding weekend. I could not believe that my BABY brother was getting married!
We had an incredible time at the rehearsal dinner. It was a clambake right at the water's edge. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time. We all feasted on clams, lobster, chicken, and more!
The wedding was beautiful. Perfect location, gorgeous weather! Jenn looked stunning and they both could not have been happier. The kids were troopers for all the pictures, waiting, etc. They danced the night away and made quite a few new friends. It was a wonderful day and I am so happy to have Jenn as part of our family!

On Saturday, we took a quick trip into Newport to walk around. We enjoyed lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, The Barking Crab.
After lunch, Allie went to the salon to have her hair done. Then Allie and Ryan FINALLY put on the formal-wear they have been asking about for weeks. They looked pretty darn cute (no bias there!) and Sean even wore his own little tux!

Allie's first day of school
It's August. It's hot. It's humid. It's the first day of school for Allie! She was up at 5:45am (without an alarm!) and was ready to go! Neil walked her to the bus and she was so excited. I can't believe she is in FIRST grade!
