Allie's Gingerbread Man

Each of Allie's classmates created their own Gingerbread Man. The GBs were then sent off to family and friends all over the world.  The kids are eagerly awaiting the return of each GB. Today, the first GB came back all the way from JAPAN! Allie's GB went to NYC with Nana and Papa. Here are a few pictures of his adventure.

Let the holiday festivities BEGIN!

It's December and the holidays are upon us! We pulled out all of the holiday decorations last weekend. The tree is up and the kids are spending hours spinning dreidls!  Tonight we went to Marietta Square for the tree lighting. Every year, Santa arrives on a fire engine and then they light the tree.  It's the first of many holiday activities we have scheduled this month but it's always the best way to kick off the season!

Turkey for me and turkey for you

Ahh...Thanksgiving! The 3 F's...Food, Football, and Family!  We started our Thanksgiving break with a few days in Hilton Head. The weather wasn't great but our kitchen renovation is 95% complete. YAY!  We spent Thanksgiving Day @ Jared & Stephanie's house with the kids and my parents.  We had a yummy meal and the kids played for HOURS.  Allie & Ryan love spending time with Aiden and Lauren!  Now we are all in our post-turkey coma and looking forward to SLEEP!

Tons o' Turkey songs

Today, Allie & Ryan's classes celebrated Thanksgiving. 

We started the morning with Allie's K class and 'Muffins for Mom'.  All of the kids made place mats, vests, and head-bands.  The moms were treated to muffins, juice and coffee...and of course a wonderful musical presentation by the kids! Allie & I made a turkey craft (thankfully she handles scissors and a glue stick better than I do!) and I was able to see some of the books her class has made this year.  Allie took a turn with my camera and took pictures of all of her friends, too!

For lunch, we moved over to Mt. Zion for Ryan's Thanksgiving Feast.  His class made head-bands and t-shirts and performed 3 Thanksgiving songs.  After the performance, we had a feast of turkey, veggies, fruit, cheese, crackers, pumpkin pie and brownies. YUM!

SIX!

Allie turned 6 on November 13th! I can't believe it..6 years old!! I made '6' shaped cookies for her class and Ryan and I went to school to have lunch with Allie on Friday.

We had her birthday party on Saturday at The Picture Show. This is a local movie theater that shows movies for $1.25! We had A LOT of kids...27 or so. I think I lost count (but did not lose any kids!)  The kids watched 'Ice Age 3' and then feasted on delicious 'Hannah Montana' themed cupcakes! Allie received so many wonderful gifts and really enjoyed her day!

We topped off the birthday celebration with dinner @ Fuji Hana with BFF Maggie!

Thankful Ryan

Ryan's teachers posted a board of turkey feathers today. Each feather has a child's picture and what he/she is thankful for this year.  Ryan's feather says:

'Ryan is thankful for his family, all his stuffed animals, and the Earth'.

So sweet!

I can't wait to see his class perform at the Thanksgiving Feast next week!

Mt. Bethel Fun Run

Allie & Ryan ran the Mt. Bethel Fun Run Kindergarten race today. It's a 1/2 mile (1 lap) race. Neil jogged along with them.  The weather was perfect and they did a great job, running most of it. The best part was medals for everyone and Dunkin' Donuts when they were done!
